Global Citizenship Award for Educators
The Global Citizenship Award for Educators is an initiative of MCIC to recognize Manitoba teachers and administrators who are leaders in promoting and supporting global citizenship.
Awards are given to one recipient in each of the following categories:
- Middle years teachers
- High school teachers and
- Administrators (including Principals, Vice Principals, Superintendents, Trustees and other divisional or Manitoba Education staff).
Nominations may be submitted by anyone eligible for the award. We encourage administrators at Manitoba middle years and high schools to nominate teachers for the award. Teachers are encouraged to nominate administrators. All nominations should be supported by a student familiar with the global citizenship activities of the nominee.
The recipients will receive their choice of school resource as a small prize, and recognition at the Annual General Meeting of the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation.
