Workshops In Your School
Middle YearsHigh School
Want to bring global issues into your school and classroom in a fun, engaging, and interactive way? MCIC offers workshops to schools, which can be presented to individual classes, or the entire student body.
Students take part in our “Appetite for Change” workshop, which addresses food security issues
Some of our workshops work best when presented to small groups, so in that situation we may ask to run the workshop a few times so that everyone walks away feeling more aware and informed than they previous did! We currently offer workshops on the following topics:
- Fair trade
- Ethical consumption
- Fair trade sports equipment
- Water
- Global food security
- Gender & education
- “Are You More Concerned About A Better World Than A 7th Grader?”, which is a game show developed by MCIC. See Are You More Concerned About A Better World Than A 7th Grader? for more information.
Also, if you need us to customize the workshop to your particular needs, we’d be more than happy to do so. We ask for a suggested donation of $50 whenever we go out and deliver a workshop. If you would like to book a workshop with us, please download the form below, fill it out, and return it to MCIC by e-mail, fax, or mail.
If you have any questions about MCIC’s workshops, please contact Rebecca at youth@mcic.ca or (204) 987-6420.
